How many of you have fallen head over heels in love with Lara of Yeh Jawaani Hain Deewani? Well, most of us would admit that they did fall in love with her. Lara was a character that was portrayed excellently by Evelyn Sharma – the brainy and beautiful actress in tinsel town. She’s fire and ice and we have witnessed her talent with the superhit movies she delivered. From an action-packed role in Saaho to a tummy-tickling role in YJHD, Evelyn has carried them all with flawless errors and all the grace. Fashion Bud presents to you an amazing piece of interview chat with her.

FB – What made you choose acting over everything else?

ES –  I am a half Indian and since childhood, I have always enjoyed Bollywood movies. I moved to pursue my career as a model. I never dreamt of becoming an actor but it just happened and it’s been such an amazing and fulfilling journey till now. I really enjoy being in front of the camera especially when I started playing interesting characters on screen. It’s so exciting to get into someone else’s skin and this is what I thoroughly enjoy.

FB –  What would be your plan be if not acting?

ES – I already run my own charity trust, ‘Seams for Dreams’, through which I try and do as much as I can and give back to the society I live in. I am very keen on spreading awareness for more responsibility in fashion and to make a difference for the future!

FB – Name the role you enacted that you loved the most.

ES – I absolutely enjoyed working in Saaho. This was my first ever action-packed role and I enjoyed every bit of it. This was a different experience for me altogether because I usually enjoy doing comic roles but action – as a genre took me by surprise and that’s something I absolutely loved. I think comic roles like in YJHD and Main Tera Hero will always be my favourite though! The most interesting role for me was playing Luvleen in Ishqedarriyaan.

FB –  What do you prefer – acting or running businesses?

ES –  I feel in every area of life do you have to know how to be a great actor because you’re always yourself, but you’re always playing a role too. Sometimes you’re the sister, sometimes the friend, sometimes the business professional, sometimes the star. Life is a stage! I enjoy every moment of it!

FB – How do you manage to remain fit and beautiful?

ES – I do not believe in spending hours over hours at the gym. I think being regular and consistent with any form of exercise is good. For me, I am more of an outdoor-person; so I like to take a walk in nature, go for a swim or do some yoga for a healthy mind and body. And I drink lots and lots of water which keeps me and my skin hydrated and healthy!

FB – Given a chance to escape from the crowd, what destination would you prefer going to? ES – Europe during the Christmas season, and SouthEast Asia for the beaches!

FB –  Do you have a Mantra for life?

ES – Be the best version of yourself! This is what I strongly believe in and it keeps me on track always.

FB –  Share your quick wardrobe look.

ES –  A flowy comfortable dress with a denim jacket and I usually pair it up with white sneakers.

  1. Long time reader, first time commenter — so, thought I’d drop a comment..
    — and at the same time ask for a favor.

Your wordpress site is very simplistic – hope you
don’t mind me asking what theme you’re using? (and don’t mind if I
    steal it? :P)

I just launched my small businesses site –also built in wordpress like yours– but the theme
slows (!) the site down quite a bit.

In case you have a minute, you can find it by searching for
“royal cbd” on Google (would appreciate any feedback)

Keep up the good work– and take care of yourself during the coronavirus scare!

In case you have a minute, you can find it by searching for “royal cbd” on Google (would appreciate any feedback) – it’s still in the works.

Keep up the good work– and hope you all take care of yourself during the coronavirus scare!
